At Suena Latin Jazz, we are on a mission to transport you to a world where the vibrant rhythms of Latin music intertwine with the improvisational magic of jazz. Founded in the heart of Chicago, our band is dedicated to bringing the infectious energy and soul-stirring melodies of Latin jazz to audiences far and wide.
This song Cariño is a collaboration between ESSO and the salsa heavy Suena Latin Jazz crew. ÉSSO (El.Sonido.Sonic.Octopus) is a Chicago based live music ensemble fusing Latin and global urban roots music. Cariño is a story song about two individuals finding a spark and working toward retaining it.
With a lineup of exceptionally talented musicians, including Kevin Miller saxophone, Stuart Seale piano, José Abner bass, Daniel Hernandez timbales, JC Delgado congas, and Willy Mollfulleda bongos players, Suena Latin Jazz is a powerhouse ensemble that knows how to captivate hearts and ignite a lively atmosphere. Each member of our band brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the stage, creating a harmonious blend of melodies that will move your spirit and compel your body to dance.
Our musical journey is one that draws inspiration from the rich traditions of Latin music, including genres like salsa, bossa nova, Afro-Cuban, and more. We infuse these vibrant rhythms with the spontaneity and freedom of jazz, resulting in a unique fusion that speaks to the depths of human emotion.
